Odd & Quirky - The Savannah Edition

Here are the rules:
1 - List the person(s) who tagged you
2 - Mention the rules on your blog
3 - Tell about 6 unspectacular quirks of yours
4 - Tag 6 fellow bloggers

I saw this on Desi's (http://desisays.blogspot.com/) blog and she tagged anyone who hadn't done this yet so I thought I would. Josh was more than willing to help me out. He thinks I am the quirkiest person he has ever met. I'm glad the list is only 6 because he came up with several more!
Odd Quirk Number 1.
I do my dishes a certain way. First you wash the plate and tupperware lids. Then bowls, then serving utensils and knives and then regular silverware. After that I was cups and I put the big ones on the right side and the smaller ones on the left. After that I was pans. I think this is the only way to do dishes if you don't have a dishwasher (okay I do, but it doesn't work so I use it to store my tupperware lids!). It drives me nuts when Josh does dishes. I can fit three times the amount of dishes in the strainer that he can!

Odd Quirk Number 2.
My closet. Shirts are arranged first my color, then by sleave length. When we first got married I tried to keep Josh's closet organized the same way. That was a losing battle. Now I sort his into 3 categories: t-shirts, long sleave work shirts, and nice dress up shirts.

Odd Quirk Number 3.
I talk to my cats like they are people and if that isn't quirky enough I answer back for them also. We have great conversations! They usually tell me that they are hungry or that they don't want to go outside. Oh, and they always call me mama.

Odd Quirk Number 4.
My favorite food is spaghetti...with corn. Normally I don't mix foods (I like to eat each item on my plate seperately), but I think that spaghetti is so much better with corn. It's something I discovered a few years ago. When I make spaghetti I also heat up a can of corn and then when I dish up my plate I put a good splattering of corn all over it. I LOVE IT!

Odd Quirk Number 5.

Josh says I have unusual sleeping habits. I have to have a cat by me. I don't know why, I just do. I sleep better. I also have to have my feet covered. I started that when we lived in a small apartment with poor heating. I felt that I stayed warmer all night if I wrapped my feet up well in the blanket. When I lay down at night, I kick my feet up and then as it falls down I make sure some of it is under my feet and then kick around to tuck them in tight. Josh doesn't like this quirk because it gives me more leverage to still the covers at night. As he likes to say "One good turn usually gets all the blankets."

Odd Quirk Number 6.

My socks have to match. I know a sock is hiden by a shoe, but I can't bring myself to put them on if they aren't identical! The last ones I bought have the New Balance symbol on them, but each sock has a different color (pink, gray, and blue). I will tear through the dryer just looking for the 2nd sock of the set. I also match up Josh's socks when I do fold laundry, but he didn't even know that.

Okay, it's your turn! Since I am new to the blogging world I don't know anyone to tag.

I loved your quirks! I'm the same with socks, there's no way I'd go out without matching socks! My husband has lots of different colors of browns and black socks. I thought that one set of the black matched the other few sets. Rick knew different! He could tell the difference when even I couldn't! He works in an office and doesn't see many people during the day, but was still worried about not having matching socks that day.... :)
