If you would like a glimpse into what infertility is like, please check out this link. It's a video about infertility. My favorite part is when it talks about what people say and what we would actually really like.

Last night...
Last night was Josh's first night of class. It was an unadventurous night for him. Last night was also my first night home alone waiting for him to get home from class. It could have been adventurous for me, but I was off in my own little world watching TV and crocheting. I almost pulled out of it, when I was rudely interrupted by Zipper jumping from the kitchen cupboards/wall onto the couch and nearly landing in my lap. I scolded him, and then went back to crocheting.
That is when I started to hear a noise, a high pitched squeak. I looked over at the cats a few times to see them looking intently at the computer desk. I went over a few times, but each time I got there the noise stopped and I couldn't see anything.
About that time Josh called to say he was on his way home from class. We talked for a minute and "The Big Bang Theory" came back on so I hung up. About a half an hour later I called to see if he was closer and if I should warm his dinner up. While visiting with him, I heard the noise again and it seemed louder, so I hung up and went to investigate. That's hard to do with kitties in the way. Finally I got a half decent look behind the desk and I could see something fuzzy. I called Josh back and told him a mouse was stuck behind the desk.
I was all ready when he got home. I had the chairs pushed out of the way, the broom found, and kitties there to help as backup. I was also perched on the kitchen table so I could view the action, but not have to worry about it climbing up my leg.
Seconds later I was running down the hall, with the kitties. I locked myself in the bedroom and yelled at Josh to come get me when it was safe. What inspired this quick retreat? I was wrong, it wasn't a mouse...it was a bat.
Josh was able to save me from the creature. We don't know how it got stuck, and I've decided Zipper was on the wall chasing it (hence the great leap off). Josh had to use our fire tongs to pinch it's wing and get it out. I didn't come out of the bedroom until he assured me it was dead. I can't decide if I'm glad I didn't notice it before it got stuck or not. I probably would have really freaked out if I had, so I think it was a good thing.
Here is some fun trivia to make your stomach roll. Did you know if you have a bat encounter, chances are you have been bitten by a bat? Their bites are so small you don't even feel them. Oh, and this is my 3rd bat encounter. I had one as a child and about a year ago we woke up to find Zipper had killed one during the night.

Burp Cloth Lollipops
Several months ago I was looking at crafts on the Internet when I found directions for Baby Shower Lollipops. When I found out we were excepting another nephew, I just had to try it out.
I also got extra ambitious and decided to crochet the edges of burp rags. Here is my final project that I took to the hospital. I made two blankets, 1 burp cloth and 6 burp rags.

Dinosaur Museum
See & Do #68
See Fossils at the Field House
Today we decided to go visit the dinosaur museum in Vernal. We went a few years ago for our anniversary. It was pretty new then so this time they had a few more displays set up.
They have a real nice walking area outside and since we last went in February we weren't able to do it. It was pretty neat.

Free book offer
The R House has another great adoption opportunity. This time it is for a free book.
If you purchase this book
then the author will send you this book
for FREE!
You just have to email her proof of purchase for the first book. Get all of the details HERE.
Now, who can guess how many MORE items I added to my Amazon.com shopping cart before I could stop myself?
I had to order this book again, because when I ordered it the first time, it's a shorter version of the story (why do you shorten a children's story is beyond me). And since I was ordering the book I also had to order the blocks that go with it.

Family reunion
This weekend we went to Josh's family reunion. It was so much fun!
I went up on Thursday and help set up camp. Dinner was hobo dinners. I am not a fan of those normally, but with Steve & Jeff cooking I should have known I would actually like hobo dinners this time. Jeff's girls help season them, so were really good and some were a little potent. Josh was able to come up for dinner and then went back home so he could work on Friday. Since I was all alone, I was invited to sleep in the big tent with everyone one else. I should have slept there all week, it had a stove that kept us all toasty warm.
Every day was filled with walks, bike rides, eating, and lots of family fun. Josh was able to come up Friday night and stay until Sunday evening. Once again I was able to sleep in the big tent on Sunday night. I'm so glad I married into this family!
We did have some rain storms. It rained Thursday & Friday night right about bedtime and then again for a few hours Saturday morning. I had the best time during the Saturday storm rocking Konner to sleep and then taking a nap with him.
On Sunday we were able to get in a few games of Hookie Six. It wouldn't be a family gathering if we didn't play that!
We ate and ate until I thought I would pop. Next time you have smores, put some caramel sauce on the crackers. We also had dutch oven lasagna (meaty & veggie), lots of pancakes, french toast (with homemade bread), roasted chickens over soda pops, and my personal favorite, dutch oven pizzas.
I took just short of 200 pictures between my two cameras. Hopefully everyone else there will get me their pictures soon, so I can add them too.

I'm just a little excited...
Halloween is only 81 days away!!! I've been thinking about it for several months now, but with the cooler weather we've had this week I am really starting to get excited. Our local grocery store has a few items out already (I danced in the aisle, I was so excited).
I can't order it until September, but it is on my MUST HAVE list. I wonder if Josh will let me keep it out all year long?
Last year I did a Halloween post every. single. day. That was a lot of work. I don't know for sure what I will do this year. I'm thinking about doing a weekly craft or something like that and then maybe also a weekly recipe on my cooking blog. I won't post anything until October, but trust me, I am already working on some post for that month.

I'm just a little sad over the Scentsy discontinued list. Some scents I didn't care for, but some I'm wondering how I will learn to live without. Josh told me to order several Watermelon room sprays because it is favorite scent. When his car scent runs out, he just sprays it with the room spray.
Here are the other scents on the discontinued list. I think they will bring some back in the spring, but I really don't know which ones.

And the winner is.....
MEKA!!!
Thank you to those who entered. I used a highly scientific approach to choose the winner.
I wrote the names down on separate pieces of paper, shook them up...
and then closed my eyes and picked one.Sorry, I used an orange pen which doesn't show up well in pictures.
Congratulations!
My creativeness must be hibernating because I couldn't think of much for a prize.
So Meka gets to choose her own prize from the following:
1. I will hand crochet a baby blanket for you. You can choose a boy or girl print.
2. Your choice of 3 Scentsy Scents
